Winter Carnival Celebration Planned for Week of February 28 - March 4

Lee, Maine - Taking a
cue from the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Lee Academy is pleased to announce the LA Winter Games - Winter Carnival 2010.
The kick off event will be held on Sunday, February 28 when Faculty members take on seniors in the Class of 2010 as a fundraiser for Unicef and Haitian earthquake relief. Other activities scheduled during the week-long celebration include:
- Cribbage Tournament
- Snow Sculptures
- Talent Show
- Chocolate-making Competition
- Snow Shoe Races
- Snow Soccer
- Guitar Hero Tournament
- Spirit Coffin Scavenger Hunt
The American Red Cross will be on campus on Wednesday, March 3 holding a Blood Drive from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in MacDonald Gymnasium. The goal is 42 units and local community members are encouraged and welcome to participate.
Thursday will be "Team Day", a day set aside for team competitions. The entire school has been split into 4 teams - Blue, Gray, Black and White - and teams will compete in a variety of activities including Arm Wrestling, Badminton, Volleyball, Tug of War, Leap Frog Race and more.
The week will be capped off by the Winter Carnival Dance on Thursday evening, March 4th at 7:30 p.m., highlighted by the crowning of Winter Carnival Royalty. The highest scoring male and female student from all events throughout the week will be crowed King and Queen.
