Lee Academy Drama Department to Present Musical "Little Shop of Horrors"

Lee, Maine ~ The Drama Department at Lee Academy, under the 
direction of theatre arts instructor Candace Parker, as announced plans for its fall 2010 musical, Little Shop of Horrors. The show will be presented on three nights, Thursday, November 18, Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20.
Each show will take place at 7:00 p.m. in Dingley Auditorium on the campus of Lee Academy. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Children age three and under are admitted for free.
One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a house-hold name, due in part to the successful 1980's movie of the same name.
A down-and out skid row floral assistant becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon "Audrey II" grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite, finally revealing itself to be an alien creature poised for global domination.
