Lee Academy students performed the award-winning musical production, FootLoose, on April 6-8, 2006.
In this student-centered activity, 32 students participated as cast, stage crew, or musicians. Under the direction of Drama teacher Candace Parker, all three evening performances were sold out, with over 1000 Academy students and community members in attendance. In preparation for the play, Academy students, staff, and community volunteers worked cooperatively for four months to prepare the set, master an extensive music score, assist in daily rehearsals, and design and implement publicity strategies to ensure a notably successful production. Throughout these arduous production and performance processes, Lee Academy staff members Kendra Ritchie, Janna Rollins, Emma Irish, Candy Gifford, and Kevin Ritchie unselfishly dedicated untold time and effort to our school.
