Lee Academy Alum Charles Longo '07 Elected to Bangor City Council

Lee, Maine — Lee Academy's own Charles Longo Jr '07 has been elected by Bangor residents to fill one of three vacant seats on the City Council.
On November 2, 2010 Charlie was elected with 4,601 votes, the second highest of the five candidates running. At 21 years old Charles is believed to be the youngest person ever to hold a seat on the council. According to his bio he has also worked on the Gubernatorial and Presidential campaigns and was elected to the city council on a "Moving Bangor Forward" platform.
While at Lee Academy, Charlie was a member of the National Honor Society, Honor Roll, Student Council, Math Team, and the spring musical "Footloose". Charles graduated with honors in his class from Lee Academy and is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at Husson University.
