Lee Academy has welcomed students from over 20 +countries for study in Academic and Intensive English programs. Lee Academy is committed to fostering international awareness and understanding to encourage the sharing of ideas and cultures.
In order for an international student (defined as a student holding a foreign passport) to enroll at a school in the United States, they must obtain an F-1 (student) visa. The information on the Homeland Security website explains the process of applying for a student visa and provides some helpful hints. U.S. embassies and consulates work from the same set of rules, which are then adapted to their host countries. Therefore, you should inquire in advance about individual policies.
Lee Academy is a fully accredited TOEFL exam site, one of only eight in the entire State of Maine. The TOEFL test gives students more choices about where they can study, and is accepted by more institutions than any other English-language test in the world – including top colleges and universities worldwide.
