Thank you for viewing our website. I hope you find it informative and helpful. The 2007-08 school year has started off with a very favorable beginning. Our student population is the highest in recent history. Currently we have students from 19 Maine towns, 10 different states and 12 countries. Diversity is certainly a component of our school profile.
As the headmaster I am extremely proud of our school. Our faculty is truly exceptional and extremely dedicated to the school and our students. The teaching staff is representative of our profile also. Currently we have staff members from various parts of Maine, the United States, and other countries. We have a nice balance of veterans and young teachers also. The last period of each day is a scheduled help session called Learning Lab. During this time teachers and teacher assistants are available for individual and group help with their academics.
Since 1845 Lee Academy has been providing a high school education to thousands of students. Over the course of time, students from all over Maine and the world have chosen Lee as their school of choice. We are extremely proud of the many accomplishments of our students.
The geography of Central Maine is one of natural beauty and wonderment. We are located close to many lakes and rivers, a short drive to the highest mountain in Maine, and just over an hour away from the rock bound coast of Maine. A typical weekend trip might be shopping in Bangor, taking in a production or athletic contest at the University of Maine or a visit to Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.
I am extremely proud of the educational opportunities our students are offered. A graduate of Lee Academy is well prepared for advanced study at the post-secondary level. Our graduates are in attendance at some of the finest schools and colleges our country has to offer.
