Our Mission
Lee Academy, an independent preparatory school serving students grades 9-12 founded in 1845, is a culturally diverse, supportive, educational community that offers both a secondary and post-graduate curriculum.
Lee Academy fosters individual excellence and personal growth through the acquisition of life skills, career preparation and academic knowledge. Working together, we promote kinship, respect, achievement of individual goals and mutual success throughout the school community. LA fosters individualized academic excellence, the development of creative expression, the overall well-being of every student and the provision of lifelong connections in a global society.

What We Offer
Lee Academy, one of Maine's oldest high schools, is nestled amongst some of America's most beautiful woods and waters. Lee's historic campus and small surrounding community is the ideal setting for a safe, student-centered experience.
Students can enjoy serenity and recreation in the natural surroundings, or take a walk to enjoy our few local businesses. While our rural location provides students with a peaceful place to study, we are still a short trip away from many of New England's most prestigious colleges and universities.
With an average class ratio of 10:1, students receive quality instruction and support from dedicated teachers. Students also have to opportunity to challenge themselves through early college courses, which we offer through the University of Maine college system.
