Lee Academy is known for its strong sense of community, where students build lasting friendships and support one another both inside and outside the classroom.
Boarding students and local students quickly connect as they spend time together after school, participate in activities, and explore the many opportunities available on campus.
Extracurricular programs at Lee Academy support the growth of the whole student. In addition to athletics, students can participate in a wide variety of activities, including:

Life Beyond the Classroom
For students living on campus, there are weekly shopping trips and regular weekend trips to Bangor, a nearby city that offers shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
Students also have opportunities throughout the year to explore the natural beauty of Maine. In the warmer months, trips may include visits to local lakes and Maine’s scenic coastline.
During the winter, students can enjoy a downhill skiing and tubing hill located within walking distance of campus.
