Prep Basketball

Mission Statement

The boy’s preparatory basketball program is designed to assist students with the academic and athletic transition to a 2 or 4-year college or university. 
Lee Academy offers AP classes in English, history, math, biology, and chemistry. Traditional high school classes are also available to the postgraduate students. Our program is open to underclassmen as well as Post Graduate students.

International Student Athletes

Lee Academy has a long history of working with international student athletes. We offer ESL courses, SAT, and TOFEL prep classes and exams to ensure eligibility at the college level. International players do not have the exposure to American  College Coaches. Lee Academy will give you that opportunity. Our players have  come from all across the world including:

Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lebanon, New Zealand, Nigeria, Poland, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine.

  • Coach Dan

    Coach Dan Haynes is in his eighth season at Lee Academy, and seventh as the head coach. Over the last 8 years Coach Dan has helped place over 100 players at universities and colleges across the US. Over 60 of those players have gone on to receive full scholarships. The program has also had several players turn directly professional out of Lee Academy. Competing at the highest level of Prep Basketball (AAA NEPSAC) he has led the Pandas to a record of 93-68.

  • Coach Doc

    Coach Richard “Doc” Kennedy begins his second season as The Post Graduate A Team Assistant Coach, and his first season as the coach of the regional team. Coach Doc finished his own college basketball career at Fisher College.
