Lee Academy is a local town academy that was founded in 1845. Located in rural Lee, Maine within an hour of world renowned mountain hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, and outdoor adventure. Lee Academy's curriculum is dedicated to educating the whole human through Understanding by Design and Place-Based education. If you are looking for a place to educate students through the lens of Lee's forests, rivers, lakes, and ecosystem than this may be the place for you. Lee Academy serves around 150 students from Aroostook, Washington, Penobscot counties and dozens of international countries.

Description
Job Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
Responsible for assisting with building and grounds maintenance and repairs. Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing and electrical a plus. Duties include summer mowing and trimming, winter shoveling, snow blowing and plowing. 
Qualifications
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must pass/have a current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) certificate through the Maine DOE and must maintain a clear criminal history for the duration of employment.
  • Must be available for snow removal duties as required during regular shift and outside of normal working hours.
